POISITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time position with a full benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement, and paid time off. Regular scheduled hours will include both weekend and weekday shifts, including holidays. Additional coverage for special events may also be required. The salary range for this position is $15.50-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience.JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs maintenance and repair duties as necessary throughout the museum.
• Painting, sheetrock repair, carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing.
• Ability to climb ladders and use personnel lifts.
• Lawn mowing
• Snow removal
• Maintains and monitors appearance of floors, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Daily monitoring and maintenance of restrooms, including fixtures during open museum hours.
• Assists in the set-up and breakdown of facility rental and special events.
• Maintains floor equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures including the safe use of equipment, tools, and chemicals.
• Ability to operate hand/power tools and other related equipment.
