Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structure and contents of buildings and maintaining grounds.RequirementsResponsibilities:
- Perform or direct others to perform ground maintenance activities such as moving and maintaining lawn, trimming shrubs and trees, removing weeds, raking, and disposing of leaves and refuse, shoveling snow from walks.
- Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operation, minimize operating cost, and effect greater utilization of labor and material, and remaining within budget.
- Review daily maintenance requests to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of material and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Make repairs on equipment as able or coordinate repairs through outside contractors.
- Keep the interior in good repair which includes drywall repair, painting, cleaning carpets, and miscellaneous other duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience required
- Previous nursing home experience preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
