Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Director to join our team at Aspire Senior Living Malden. As the Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's maintenance and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.Responsibilities:Supervise Maintenance Staff: Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to prolong the life of equipment, reduce downtime, and minimize disruptions.Repairs and Renovations: Coordinate and oversee repair projects, renovations, and upgrades to the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural improvements.Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facility maintenance and safety standards.Budget Management: Work collaboratively with the management team to develop and manage the maintenance budget, optimizing resources and prioritizing projects.Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, and be available for on-call duty to address urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to obtain competitive bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee the quality of work performed.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance. Generate reports as required.Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility maintenance, with a focus on long-term care or healthcare facilities preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse maintenance team.
- Knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations related to healthcare facilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents, staff, and external vendors.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to maintenance management.
Education:High School Diploma/GED required.Additional certifications or a degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
