Voted Richmond Register's 2024 Best of the Best Nursing Home, Telford Terrace is a small non-profit Skilled Nursing Facility with a total of 42 beds located on the campus of St. Andrews Retirement Community.

The Facility Maintenance Director is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all aspects of the maintenance program, while supporting the philosphy, goals and objectives of Telford Terrace. The Maintenance Director answers directly to the Administrator.

Job duties include but not limited too:

  • Assure that all facility structures and defective machines, equipment, and appliances are in good operating condition, are repaired or replaced.
  • Conduct and ensure Life Safety requirements are met.
  • Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment.
  • Complete forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. related to the Maintenance Department.
  • Make sure all maintenance work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise planned program of preventive maintenance.
  • Chair the Safety Committee
  • Take a leading role in emergency prepardness
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Committee

Competitive pay and benefit package available. At least two years of maintenance-related experience in a nursing home and basic knowledge in carpentry, painting, and plumbing required. Knowledge of local, state, federal, emergency prepardness and life safety code regulations applicable to nursing home facilities a must. Must be available for rotating on-call schedule for urgent facility needs.
