Maintenance Electrician - Plexus Scientific : Job Details

Location: Apple Grove WV Company: Nucor Job Functions: Seeking a Maintenance Electrician who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. The selected teammate will ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems. During construction, maintenance electricians will help build the mill and create computerized maintenance management system to ensure proper design criteria and equipment reliability. Propose and implement innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process with a focus on safety, reliability, quality, costs, and project management. Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment. Demonstrate the ability to understand mechanical and electrical schematics. Demonstrate knowledge of high and low voltage electrical systems, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation, AC/DC variable frequency drives, motors & control systems Train teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' industrial maintenance experience. Fundamental Electrical Theory knowledge. Experience Troubleshooting 480V Motors and Controls. Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Prior Steel Mill experience 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field.
