Job Description :

Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Engineer onsite in Stanton, TN. This position requires someone who has experience with setting up manufacturing machinery for innovative electronics and batteries or relevant industries.

The pay range is $80,000 - $110,000 a year on a W2 Fulltime employment + pto + subsidized health benefits.

The Maintenance Engineer in Stanton, Tennessee, will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Optimize production and mechanical systems to improve efficiency and uptime
  • Coach plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts
  • Assist plants in addressing equipment downtime issues
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure maximum equipment uptime in high-volume manufacturing
  • Oversee preventative maintenance (PM) programs for battery manufacturing equipment
  • Assist in managing spare parts for critical equipment
  • Provide input on new equipment design, selection, and installation
  • Support new model and equipment launches as needed

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Ability to analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to identify root causes of issues
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train both hourly and salaried team members
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of projects and sees them through with limited supervision
  • Flexibility for travel during the initial plant start-up phase
  • Willingness to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during the start-up phase
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Preferred Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical/Automation Engineering preferred (equivalent experience accepted)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance (stamping experience preferred)
  • Experience with robotics (ABB, Fanuc, Güdel), stamping/press equipment, and automation systems
  • Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex), PLC programming, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for equipment layout and modifications
