Job Summary: This position is in Western Midstream LP Rockies Region as a member of the DJ Basin Midstream Gathering organization in Longmont, CO. Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the operation and major maintenance of natural gas engines and compressors with previous supervision experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of standard oilfield construction drawings: P&ID's, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc. is preferred
  • Working knowledge of electrical and automation systems related to gas gathering equipment
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with engineering, technical peers, and management
  • Ability to conduct employee performance coaching and to manage complex scheduling
  • Must have strong organization and planning skills and be flexible and able to manage through change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as problem solving skills required
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Extensive knowledge of wear limits on rotating equipment and capable of establishing and / or approving equipment major overhauls
  • Understand basic compressor runs, load curves, and pump curves as well as gas piping, facility design and operations
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to OSHA/PSM, DOT, federal/state environmental regulations, and other regulatory requirements. Preparation of appropriate documentation.
  • Oversee major equipment overhauls such as engines, compressors, and pumps utilizing OEM repair manuals, mechanical schematics, industry standards, and company standards.
  • Coordinate all field activities from maintenance crews, small construction crews, and new construction project work at Western Midstream locations.
  • Work with Supervisor and Maintenance Planner to maintain equipment maintenance schedules, adapt maintenance calendar to maximize equipment availability, reduce downtime, avoid environmental and safety risks, and monitor downtime on engines, compressors, and pumps.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. May serve as the company's representative during regulatory agency inspections.
  • Safe operation of rotating equipment, calibration, maintenance, modification, and repair of a wide variety of equipment used in natural gas gathering operations, additionally have a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure all maintenance is documented and scheduled utilizing SAP FM.
  • Contribute to site safety performance improvement by holding workers and self-accountable for safety. This is done via job safety analysis, permit to work, safety observations, audits, conducting safety meetings, safety training, incident investigation/root cause analysis and job briefs.
  • Encourage safety activity participation by all maintenance personnel. Participate in emergency response coordination.
  • Communicate equipment, compression performance and environmental problems to supervisor.
  • Keep all related equipment in efficient operating condition, maintain equipment maintenance schedules and monitor downtime.
  • Develop maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs for assigned facilities to manage small as well as large projects and scheduled maintenance of assigned facilities.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and maintain manpower and gathering system operating costs at a minimum consistent with safe, ethical, efficient and environmentally effective operations.
  • Accomplish assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and work in a team environment in accordance with Western Midstream LP Core Values.
  • Ensure facility audits are being conducted and documentation completed.
  • Ensure all visual mechanical integrity checklists required on associated managed equipment are complete and documentation entered into SAP at required time intervals.
  • Have a working knowledge of the mechanical integrity process developed by MI Team/Facilities Engineering Group.
  • Coordinate and communicate with engineering teams for economic optimization.
  • Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals.
  • Work with our inventory team to ensure that critical spare parts are available to make proper and timely repairs.
  • Ensure team responds to call out requests as needed for maintenance, relief, and emergency situations.
  • Manage and ensure development and upkeep of maintenance procedures as necessary.
  • Provide support for other supervisory personnel including on call rotation and vacation relief.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.Certifications/Licenses:Valid US driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation. Travel Requirements:The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.Work Schedule:This position is on a 40 hour / week scheduleCandidate must live within 50 miles 10188 E I-25 Frontage Rd, Longmont, CO 80504.The pay range for this position in Colorado is $104,900 - $130,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
