General Description:

Supervise and serve as a technical resource to Maintenance Technicians. Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or tasks. Monitor employee productivity and provide technical support as needed. Set performance goals and deadlines that comply with company's objectives and vision. Provide constructive feedback, coaching and training as needed to improve technical skills, knowledge and abilities of Technicians.

Roles and Responsibilities

Demonstrates a working knowledge of

Maintenance Technician duties

Schedules work orders; prioritize maintenance activities

Assigns work orders to technicians

Sets goals and provides resources to assure team

and individual success

Recognizes individual accomplishments

Participates in the performance evaluation process.

Coordinates and tracks departmental budget

Conducts and documents daily team safety meetings

Develops equipment repair plans

Tracks absentee rates and schedules vacations

Oversees contractor activities; verifies spec sheets;

conducts installation inspections

Oversees the repair of equipment

Reviews and interprets equipment specifications

Reviews equipment history and establishes PM scan

schedule accordingly

Assists site engineers to determine equipment replacements

Documents PM actions; prepares summaries, close PM work orders

Operates specialized equipment

Monitors equipment for operational problems

Ensures compliance with equipment rotation schedule

Maintains a clean and well organized work area

Attends meetings as required

Attends training as required

Complies with all HSSE programs, policies and procedures

Procures/leases special equipment

Assigns personnel to special projects

Participates in internal and external audits

Maintains and updates equipment files and spec sheets

Maintains equipment certifications

Performs special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Certifications Required:

• A minimum of seven years' experience in Mechanical Maintenance
• Two year technical degree in Mechanical Maintenance or 7 years' experience in Mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
• Thorough understanding of maintenance cost drivers
• Basic math skills
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to interpret SDSs, P&IDs, PFDs, blueprints, etc.
• Hazard recognition skills
• Thorough knowledge of PSM Mechanical Integrity and ISO standards and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of SAP
• Basic PC skills, including Excel
• Demonstrated leadership ability including strong interpersonal skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications

Previous experience as a Relief Foreman
