Maintenance General TechnicianReports To: Director, Maintenance & Operations Job Status: Non-exemptPosition Summary:The Maintenance General Technician is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the University. The Technician performs duties relative to preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance. Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance to enhance the operation of building systems.
  • Perform duties such as general light electrical, AC, and appliance repair.
  • Perform general pool/spa and lock/key maintenance.
  • Provide servicing of plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair work.
  • Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
  • Adhere to university and industry safety standards.
  • Must be on call for maintenance emergencies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Two years of facilities related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Customer service oriented, prompt, efficient, and committed to quality.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
  • Ability to work on call when needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
