BOURNE PUBLIC SCHOOLS

MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Goal: To maintain and repair the schools system physical plant and grounds

so as to extend the life of school equipment and facilities as well as minimize

disruption to the educational process.

Responsibilities:

1. Plumbing

2. Heating

3. Electrical

4. Carpentry

5. Masonry

6. Painting

7. Roofing

8. Glass Replacement

9. Installation of ceiling and floor tile

10. Sheetrocking

11. Minor vehicle repair

12. Grounds maintenance and landscaping (including the preparation of athletic fields)

13. Snow removal

14. Sidewalling

15. Fencing

16. Insulation

17. Appliance repair

18. Locksmith

A minimum of five years of experience in facility maintenance or management is preferred.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates with valid plumbing, hvac, or electrical trade licenses.

Terms of Employment: 12 month year; salary in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement in effect between AFSCME and the Bourne School Committee.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Maintenance Supervisor.
