Maintenance Manager - Steel : Job Details

Tactical/Managerial Role

Responsible for planned, predictive and preventative maintenance

Responsible for oversight of all maintenance work and facility-related projects for all shifts

Manages and develops staff to meet business needs

Selects, negotiates, and manages facilities, service, and equipment vendors

Maintains annual inspection records of equipment and facilities preventative maintenance

Assure facilities' requirements are proactively planned, executed, and maintained

Works with staff to establish goals, priorities, and expectations, and to develop the action plans and strategies for accomplishing them

Develops plans to achieve safety and environmental goals; regularly inspects machinery for safety issues, including, but not limited to guarding, non-functioning lights, ground and trip hazards, broken pieces, and exposed wiring.

Monitors compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements

Position Requirements

• 5 years of manufacturing Manager experience in maintenance or related industry.
• Knowledge of LOTO, HAZMAT and other safety regulations.
• Experience working with quality control measures-knowledge of ISO 9000 preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and Spanish is preferable.
• Strong writing skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with MRP formats.
• Highly motivated, flexible, dependable self-starter. Must demonstrate self-accountability and a sense of urgency.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
• Strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Knowledge of lean concepts a plus.
• Responsible, ethical, honest, positive, upbeat, and approachable.
