Job Store Professional is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for a Direct Hire Permanent Role with one of our client companies.

Position Overview:

The Head of Sanitation and Maintenance will oversee all aspects of maintenance and sanitation programs, including equipment and facilities maintenance, sanitation procedures, GMP compliance, and overall cleanliness and organization. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to manage day-to-day operations and personnel effectively.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (flexibility required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures while ensuring safety compliance.
  • Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and foster a positive team culture.
  • Oversee hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for the maintenance and sanitation teams.
  • Manage inventory for maintenance and sanitation departments (equipment, janitorial supplies, etc.).
  • Collaborate with management on GMP regulations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive performance by meeting or exceeding KPI targets and addressing variances proactively.
  • Ensure proper documentation for maintenance and sanitation programs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, service companies, and suppliers.
  • Author, revise, and approve SOPs, charts, and forms.
  • Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices.
  • High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Sanitation certification or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in English (Spanish fluency is a plus).
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
