DescriptionMaintenance Technician/Mechanic - Twin City Foods Inc. Twin City Foods Inc. began as a small frozen vegetable processing company in Stanwood, WA in 1943. We currently have a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position available in our facility in Ellensburg, WA. As a Twin City Foods (Ellensburg Division) Maintenance Technician/Mechanic your main purpose is to maintain proper production by ensuring that the production line equipment is working at full capacity. Maintenance Technician/Mechanic should have experience with:
  • Basic maintenance and fabrication
  • Welding
  • Lathe
  • Packaging line experience is a plus
Requirements of a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic:
  • Perform morning set-up
  • Maintain proper production with: Routine paperwork for assurance of quality
    • Proper weights
    • Codes
    • Seals
    • Finished cases
  • Communication with production coordinator, lab and supervisors is mandatory including giving notice of improper shut-downs and production time loss
  • Must maintain production line equipment
  • Do product change over when necessary (including changing tubes)
Food Safety Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Use proper food safety PPE
  • Upon task completion, account for all tools, spare parts, materials and shop supplies.
  • Ensure that equipment and work area is clean and free of debris
  • Return items to storage and dispose of consumables
  • Prevent any product contamination by refraining from use of tape, wire, string or any other temporary repair. If temporary repair must be used, correct the temporary repair as soon as possible.
  • Maintain food safety integrity of packaging materials
  • Ensure good seals on packages
