This position provides Structural and craft work in the general maintenance and repair. DVEM is seeking an administrative professional who is highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software specifically Microsoft Excel. The selected individual will join as a contributing team member with other highly qualified staff and will fill the primary general maintenance role for the maintenance section based out of Bangor at the (RTI) Regional Training Institute.Primary responsibilities include:Employees of this class are expected to carry out assignments with minimal supervisory assistance:+ Perform general facility maintenance on HVAC equipment+ Maintains, operates, and repairs heating and ventilating systems in order to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.+ Repairs electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, and communication systems in order to maintain electrical systems and equipment+ Repairs, maintains, and alters masonry, walls, and woodwork in buildings in order to ensure structural stability and meet tenant requirements+ Repairs and services laundry and kitchen equipment in order to ensure safe and effective operation and maximize equipment availability+ Cleans, maintains, and services hand tools, machines, equipment, and work area daily in order to comply with safety standards, prolong equipment life, and maintain equipment availability.+ Operates snow removal equipment in order to clear walks, driveways, and roads.Skills or knowledge required:Required to pass federal background check to access NIPR program as a condition of employment.+ Knowledge of applicable building and safety codes+ Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints+ Ability to use electrical test equipment such as ohm and voltage meters+ Two (2) years, experience in the general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildingsMinimum qualifications:Two (2) years experience in the general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildings.Contact information:Questions about this position should be directed to Kenneth Merrifield
