Job Description :
Maintenance PlannerPosition Overview: Effectively plan and oversee department schedules and coordinate operations. Specific Responsibilities:
  • Create weekly departmental schedules
  • Insures compliance with plant and federal safety standards
  • Provide day to dasy supervision of maintenance personnel
  • Keep records of hourly vacation, weekly and daily requests and integrate into weekly department schedule
  • Coordinate with operations personnel on scheduling for planned maintenance outrages.
  • Place order for necessary repair material and spare parts - obtain quotes when necessary
  • Assist in Capital Expenditure planning buy providing input regarding equipment failure history and recommending equipment upgrade.
  • Create equipment list and enter into CMMS system.
  • Create PM plans into CMMS system with input from manager and supervisors.
  • Keep database of daily breakdown and misc. repairs to various equipment.
  • Record all departmental overtime hours and keep up to date records of next in line .
  • Keep all required maintenance records (quality, training, etc) up to date.
  • Create database of maintenance tasks, required parts, drawings and if necessary create procedure for said task.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years maintenance planning in heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Maintenance experience
Safety:
  • Ensure personal compliance with safety policies and rules, including PPE requirements.
  • Report any issues not immediately resolvable to appropriate manager.
  • Make recommendations regarding procedures, processes or tools that improve safety and support a safe work environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Experience in steel-related or industrial environment preferred but not required.
Physical and Other Requirements:
  • Ability to safely move around in a heavy industrial plant environment for up to 12 hours per day
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours as required, and maintain job performance standards
