Primary Role Hydrant Maintenance / flushing; Valve Operating; Locates; Lead Service flushing / sampling; GPS Assets; Leak detection; meter changes; meter reading; and customer related work orders. Use of company computer applications. Job responsibilities will be determined by management.
Key Accountabilities - Valve turning for emergency main breaks.
- Hydrant flushing and inspection.
- Locates.
- Repair of services and setters.
- Perform maintenance at the water treatment plant, distribution booster stations and any other company owned facility within Wabash Valley as required.
- Responsible for stocking van/truck with required materials for the day's work.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment along with having the right tools to do the job.
- GPS of all distribution assets.
- Computer Work.
- AMR Program and LOS.
- Responsible for Meter Reading, Meter Installations, and Meter Changeouts.
- Responsible for investigating meter reading inaccuracies, customer complaints, and checking for leaks.
- Responsible for shutting customers off for non-pay and reconnecting when paid.
- Collection of bacteriological samples.
- Responsible for stocking van/truck with required materials for the day's work.
- Maintain reliable accurate data.
Experience/Education - High school diploma or state recognized Educational Equivalency Certificate.
Certifications & Licenses - Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles.
- Required to obtain DSL Certification.
