A leading developer in the global automation market, Pepperl+Fuchs is looking for a hardworking, ambitious individual to help us build a new function from the ground up. We welcome you to apply for our Maintenance Specialist in our Katy, Texas Office. The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for a variety of duties to maintain the functionality of the Company's ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System.

You will be responsible for:

  • Schedules preventative maintenance of the complete ASRS, including cranes, conveyors, motors, and peripheral devices.
  • Identifies and repairs mechanical or process faults within the ASRS, including the corresponding electrical, mechanical or PLC-related systems.
  • Maintains constant mechanical reliability of the ASRS.
  • Creates and manages preventative maintenance, operational repair and accident prevention plans for the ASRS.
  • Manages and ensures the availability of spare parts for the ASRS.
  • Creates training documents and instructions for standard and preventative maintenance for the ASRS.
  • Manages any subcontractors if needed.
  • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and as-needed operational repairs of the Company's equipment, machines, and building systems.
  • Provides support for the Facility Maintenance Department and other various duties as assigned.
  • Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
  • Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

The background you will need:

  • High school diploma/ GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as an electrician and/or technician in facility maintenance, preferably in a warehouse and logistics environment.
  • Experience with ASRS systems, and/or electrical motors, conveyors, drives and PLC controls, familiar with switching voltage up to 480V, DC voltage up to 24V, and wiring diagrams, and ISO 9001 and 14001 experience preferred.
