About The Career:
  • To assist in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical plant and associated equipment in proper operating condition. This includes minor electrical/plumbing, mechanical repairs and other duties related to maintenance as well as primary duties. May be assigned to other duties as hospital needs arise.
All About You:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • b) Training & Experience: 5-10 years plumbing experience.
  • c) License: Master/Journeyman or contractor plumbing license.
  • d) Job Knowledge: Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as O&M Manuals, blueprints, safety rules, procedure manuals. Has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have computer knowledge. Must have the ability to work on own with minimal supervision and has ability to inspect the facility and equipment. Must have a working knowledge of the fire alarm and other systems throughout the hospital. Must know how to maintain tools and equipment especially have ability to service and repair specialized HVACR equipment as necessary. Must observe safety precautions at all times.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.
  • Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Memorial Hospital.
  • Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.
  • The ability to make appropriate decisions based on fact and knowledge is required. The ability to perform detailed work required. The ability to work harmoniously with employees required. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and show good judgment. The ability to make decisions under pressure and deadlines required.
