Maintenance Supervisor - Haverford Township School District : Job Details

Provide leadership and direction for the organization and supervision of all aspects of the maintenance operation. Reports to the Director of Maintenance and Facilities. Primary Duties: * Hands on supervisory position. * Direct and supervise the district maintenance staff, including but not limited to, painters, carpenters, plumbers, HVAC mechanics, electricians, mechanics, security and grounds crew. * Identify work to be completed withing district facilities by conducting periodic inspections. * Physically review work requests for appropriateness and to determine material and labor requirements. * Develop weekly work schedules for each trade with tasks appropriately prioritized. * Ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. * Develop and implement an annual preventive maintenance program. * Evaluate equipment needs of maintenance operations under his supervision and make recommendations for purchase. * Evaluate the performance of the maintenance staff as required by the Director of Maintenance and Facilities. * Recommend and implement disciplinary actions. * Coordinate and inspect work completed by outside contractors related to maintenance operations. * Coordinate snow removal with the grounds foreman. * Complete other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: * Relevant education and/or job experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred. * Must be in good physical condition for heavy work, i.e., lifting objects up to 75 lbs. and snow removal. * Ability to establish and maintain positive working relations with fellow workers, administrative staff, teachers and students. * Knowledge of building mechanical systems. * Ability to learn and operate work order system. * Possess valid PA drivers license. * High school diploma or equivalent required. ** As necessary, a separate email will be sent with a link and access code to comply with the Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure release forms.
