Primary Purpose of Position:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the work of skilled employees on multiple shifts. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: equipment maintenance, electrical maintenance and equipment installation.
This role is THIRD shift. Shift is Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees performing machine, equipment and building maintenance.
- Oversees all maintenance of production equipment.
- Coordinates installation, maintenance or rebuilding of production equipment.
- Implements and schedules preventive maintenance for production equipment.
- Provides information as needed to allow sufficient inventory of spare parts in stockroom.
- Assists with equipment redesign as needed, working with design and Operations Manager.
- Provides training or instruction to maintenance employees or to those involved with new machinery or equipment.
- Supervises installation of assigned projects, determines alternatives for problem solutions.
- Responsible for installation of all new equipment and design from the engineering team.
- Coordinates activities of outside contractors as required.
- Assists in providing a safe working environment and in establishing safe working procedures.
- Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Associate's Degree in an engineering or technology discipline or equivalent work experience
Experience/Knowledge
- Strong electrical maintenance background
- Minimum of 5 (five) years experience in machine repair, tool & die and/or machinist areas.
- Minimum of 5 (five) years mechanic troubleshooting experience.
- Minimum of 3 (three) years of supervisory experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance program.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and management functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL ROLE COMPETENCIES:
- Understanding of mechanical workings of a variety of production equipment.
- Ability to supervise employees repairing and installing machinery.
- Ability to prioritize projects.
- Flexibility to deal with interruptions and reprioritize as needed.
- Ability to analyze problems and make independent judgment, making recommendations for corrective action or resolution.
- Basic computer competency and ability to manage other software such as Microsoft Office Suite products and time-keeping systems as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Sitting at workstation approximately 10 (ten) percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 90 (ninety) percent of work time.
- Must be able to travel up to 15 (fifteen) percent of work time.
- Ability to work overtime on weekends with short notice as required by management.
- Willingness to work all/any shifts.
- Typical plant/manufacturing environment with concrete floors and moving equipment.
