Summary:

Perform functions to plan and manage the maintenance of the organizations manufacturing equipment, working within the limits of established policies.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in Engineering or related
  • Broad knowledge of Hydraulic Systems
  • At least 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of theories of operation, troubleshooting, repair procedures, and preventative maintenance practices
  • Computer literate (Microsoft office experience).
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of process related standards.
  • Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years' experience in Aluminum Extrusion Manufacturing Environment
  • SAP Experience
  • Ability to think critically and theoretically
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Controls troubleshooting

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • The effective execution of all maintenance and assigned projects.
  • Work order approval and planning.
  • Conduct, trend, and perform root cause failure analysis, implement improvement plans for major failures and repeat breakdowns.
  • Maintain problem solving A3's to reduce downtime and scrap focused on machine reliability and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a safe work environment according to company safety policies.
  • Monitoring and control of spare parts inventory within budget.
  • Evaluate maintenance technician skill level and develop training plans to maintain skill levels according to current technology.
  • Develop and direct all continuous improvement activities as related to maintenance and quality of work.
  • Meet or reduce budgeted material and labor cost variances through preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators as defined by manufacturing goals.
  • Perform all duties to operate all equipment, all within limitation of the standard methods and procedures and in accordance with strict adherence to safety, environmental, quality and productivity requirements.
  • Acquire knowledge of Hydro's safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain work flow or respond to emergency conditions.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
  • Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
