Summary

Connect Search is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Elkhart Lake. This position has first shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop process and safety improvements.
  • Develop schedules of routine and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Prioritize orders and provide daily work assignments to employees either verbally, in writing on a schedule, or through work orders.
  • Evaluate and purchase materials required in order to meet Maintenance needs. Maintain inventory of necessary replacement parts.
  • Responsible for training and development of maintenance staff.
  • Assist with developing project plans specifying goals, strategy, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other equipment.
  • Dismantling machines to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures and schedules to coincide with production schedules.
  • Conducts failure analysis and repair of production related equipment as directed or needed by manufacturing management.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate mechanical failures.
  • Examine condition of machined parts to detect failures.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repair or replace worn or defective parts including pumps, piping, hoses, valves and cylinders. Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricate and clean parts. Rebuild cylinders.
  • Assemble machines following proper sequence using schematics and starts machines to test their performance.
  • Setup and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Repair electrical equipment and perform wiring of outlets.
  • Perform arc and wire welding.
  • Create rough drawings to design and build structures and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
