Summary
  • Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience helpful.
  • Knowledge: Of maintenance procedures, of safety procedures, or loading and order picking procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and perform inspections, repairs and maintenance on parts of equipment and machines including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
  • Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, packaging equipment, grinding equipment and stacking equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment as needed.
  • Either through assisting others or leading the work.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and periodic inspections on production machinery and equipment.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Adjusts devices positions and controls.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical failures. Repairs or places defective parts.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Installs parts into devices.
  • Starts devices to determine their performance.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory. Orders parts.
  • Computer work as workload dictates.
  • Keeps an accurate record of work performed.
  • Performs other routine duties as necessary.
  • Keeps work areas clear and free of debris.
  • Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High school or G.E.D. required.
  • Experience: Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience helpful.
  • Knowledge: Of maintenance procedures, of safety procedures, or loading and order picking procedures.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb platforms, ladders to make repairs.
  • Ability to read numbers and product descriptions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to maintain written records.
  • Ability to push buttons, monitor controls.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift
  • Ability for prolonged and repetitive motions of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.
  • Prior relevant maintenance experience.
  • Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.
