Summary - Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience helpful.
- Knowledge: Of maintenance procedures, of safety procedures, or loading and order picking procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities - Troubleshoot and perform inspections, repairs and maintenance on parts of equipment and machines including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
- Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, packaging equipment, grinding equipment and stacking equipment.
- Perform general maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment as needed.
- Either through assisting others or leading the work.
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and periodic inspections on production machinery and equipment.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Adjusts devices positions and controls.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Troubleshoots mechanical failures. Repairs or places defective parts.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Installs parts into devices.
- Starts devices to determine their performance.
- Maintains spare parts inventory. Orders parts.
- Computer work as workload dictates.
- Keeps an accurate record of work performed.
- Performs other routine duties as necessary.
- Keeps work areas clear and free of debris.
- Adheres to safety rules and ergonomic practices.
Minimum Qualifications - Education: High school or G.E.D. required.
- Experience: Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience helpful.
- Knowledge: Of maintenance procedures, of safety procedures, or loading and order picking procedures.
Skills and Abilities: - Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb platforms, ladders to make repairs.
- Ability to read numbers and product descriptions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Ability to maintain written records.
- Ability to push buttons, monitor controls.
- Ability to work 2nd shift
- Ability for prolonged and repetitive motions of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity.
- Prior relevant maintenance experience.
- Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.
