**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician (Technical Specialist) will be responsible for setups and maintenance of the production line for manufacturing home and garden products. This role includes performing adjustments, preventative maintenance (PMs), and repairs on equipment to maximize runtime. Additionally, the technician will conduct mechanical troubleshooting and diagnose and repair all breakdowns, ensuring the quality of the product throughout the process.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform setups and changeovers of production lines and production machinery and equipment.
+ Conduct adjustments, PMs, and repairs on equipment to maximize runtime on the line.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on all breakdowns.
+ Perform mechanical troubleshooting on equipment.
+ Check the quality of the product throughout the production process.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment performing general maintenance and setting up and running machinery and/or packaging lines.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing packaging equipment.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience performing setups and adjustments on machinery or equipment; running and operating machinery and equipment.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience replacing motors and gearboxes.
+ Experience and ability to perform quality checks on machinery and product.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in high-volume production lines is preferred.
+ Experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
+ Basic electrical knowledge and experience, such as unwiring/rewiring a motor for repair/replacement, is preferred. High-level electrical problems will be handled by an on-shift electrician.

**Work Environment**
This position operates in a manufacturing environment, working alongside general production workers (GPWs), machine operators, and forklifts. Available shifts include 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (4 days on, 4 days off) and 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (4 nights on, 4 nights off). A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is provided.
