Shift Hours:

  • (1) 2nd Shift Opening - 1:30pm-10pm or 2:30pm-11pm
  • (2) 3rd Shift Openings - 9:30pm-6am or 10:30pm-7am

**OT Paid out after 8 Hours/Day

**6 Days a week/rotating

Pay: $35-42/hr.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production machinery, working as part of the maintenance team to enhance equipment reliability and quality.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain and repair vertical baggers (Hayssen & Matrix), Tanney & Langdon cartoners, inkjet printers, and packaging equipment.
  • Operate and troubleshoot bulk flour systems, including transfer blowers, air-locks, diverter valves, and sifters.
  • Maintain industrial ovens, proofers, conveyors, and dryers.
  • Complete daily logs, emergency breakdown reports, work orders, and communicate effectively with incoming shifts.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Work with low-voltage and 120-480VAC equipment, including starters, motors, VFDs, sensors, controllers, and photo-eyes.
  • Install, debug, and stabilize plant equipment as needed.
  • Read schematics and blueprints to interpret and troubleshoot electrical issues safely.
  • Perform machinery repairs and upgrades to ensure efficient operation.
  • Support installation, analysis, and acceptance testing of new electromechanical equipment.
  • Repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems, metal detectors, and scales.
  • Test electromechanical assemblies using appropriate instruments.
  • Fabricate machine guards using measuring devices, cutting tools, and welding (stick & TIG).
  • Use HMI panels for production line troubleshooting.
  • Install electronic components with soldering and hand tools.
  • Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment.
  • Assist with production and maintenance assignments as needed.
  • Communicate with production staff to address quality and safety concerns.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures in line with safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with electromechanical safety requirements.
  • Participate in overtime assignments as required.
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed.
  • Supply own hand tools and lockable toolbox.
  • Work in a general manufacturing environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Maintenance Technology or equivalent education, experience, and training.
  • 1-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance practices, including OSHA and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with GMP, OSHA, and production needs.
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, and lift up to 55 lbs.
