Golden Grain Energy is looking for a motivated, 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. General Summary: Responsible for anticipating, diagnosing and repairing all areas of the facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates, coordinates and schedules all repairs and problems with Operations, including diagnosing problems and preventative maintenance; ensuring problems and tasks are addressed in a timely manner
- Communicates with Maintenance Manager when parts or outside labor will be needed to complete tasks
- Remove, install, rebuild, weld, torch, lubricate and clean all equipment associated with the process.
- Performs equipment, instrument and electrical work as needed
- Completes tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager as scheduled or on-call basis
- Utilizes call out log to document priority and need of after hour requests
- Assists Maintenance Manager with inventory management
- Completes assignments in CMMS system
- Ability to understand and utilize Mapcon software on a daily basis
- Maintains compliance with all city, state and federal regulations
- Maintains a safe working manner at all times
- Operates heavy equipment including fork lifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts
- Completes required training
- Other duties as assigned
RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to weld, torch, pump alignment, material handling systems, and forklift experience. Has a general understanding of lockout/tag out (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, and line break permits. Great communication skills and problem solving skills needed.Education and Experience: No prior experience required although prior maintenance experience is helpful. Automotive or mobile equipment experience is a plus. A.A., B.S. and/or technical education is preferred. Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to: lift at least 60 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights of at least 30 feet and manage confined space entry. Must have the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to qualify for respirator use and wear approved fall protection equipment.Working Conditions: Work areas are exposed to all elements of weather, loud noise, and dusty conditions. Must be able to work safely with exposure to chemicals and while working with heavy moving machinery.Schedule: Alternating schedule, 2nd shiftWeek 1 - Monday to ThursdayWeeks 2 and 4 - Wednesday to SaturdayWeek 3 - Sunday to Wednesday Hours will be 8 am to 6 pm for training during first 90 days of employment, after 90 days of employment will move to 2 pm to 12 am
