Maintenance Technician -- Automotive Manufacturing (34814) - Activ8 : Job Details

An automotive parts manufacturer by the Thomson, GA area is currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to support their facility. This is a full-time, direct hire position with openings on 2nd or 3rd shift.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Responsibilities Include:Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on equipment and machinery (hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, CNC, PLC, robotics, etc.)Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairsFollow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activitiesEnsure personal compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other safety / environmental requirements and standardsTracking of tool and material inventoryCreation of maintenance activity reports for upper managementOther duties as assignedRequirements Include:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1-3 years' hands-on experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machineryPrior experience with CNC, Robotics or PLC is preferredAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documentsGood communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environmentStrong problem-solving skills and time management abilityThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.Direct applicants only.
