Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.Operations Full Time, Hourly About the PositionThe Maintenance Technician position will maintain all equipment to required standards, be responsive to line calls, provide support for preventative and failure based maintenance as required by the plant needs. Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks within and promotes established safety standards and practicesTroubleshoots mechanical failuresRepairs and rebuilds pumpsMaintains conveyors and auger systemsDemonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervisionRecommends changes, modifications or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performanceReads equipment drawings and documentsDocuments work, modifications to equipment, etc.Communicates well both in writing and verballyAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesRequired Skills and QualificationsA high degree of mechanical competence supported by several years of mechanical experienceThe candidate must have a strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standardsThe candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within industrial maintenanceCreativity in problem solving is requiredThe candidate should have experience with coupling and coupling alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and weldingGood communication skills, and able to work under time constraintsMust be adaptable, dependable and a self-starterThe candidate shall have good troubleshooting skills with good attention to detailThe person shall possess a demonstrated strong work ethicApplicant must have regular, punctual attendanceCandidate must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in achieving resultsEducation or Work ExperiencePrevious mechanical experienceAdditional InformationCandidate must be able to complete company-sponsored training as requiredMust be able and willing to work overtime, and respond to call-insMust be willing to work some weekends or holidays as requiredThe candidate must be willing to work shift work or holidays as requiredCandidate must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dusty environmentThis role requires climbing stairs, performing some lifting, sitting and standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, working with heights, bending and kneelingWork in accordance with local/provincial legislationUnderstands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirementsADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
