Benefits:

Salary:

$33 - $37.00/hourly

Summary:

The primary purpose of the maintenance staff is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable and producing the highest possible production quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance to equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all plant equipment.
  • Ensure that the maintenance shop and tools are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Able to identify and request parts, supplies, and tooling needed for repairs and to replenish maintenance inventory.
  • Review all processes and procedures seeking ways to increase safety and productivity.
  • Addresses maintenance related incidents (e.g., spills).
  • Troubleshoots and addresses basic repairs and maintenance including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting.
  • Can safely operate machine tools - drill press, power saw, pipe threader, etc.
  • Able to dismantle, repair, rebuild, clean, adjust, and calibrate mechanical components and systems and return them to operators
  • Experience in operation, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of pneumatic and hydraulic piping and associated control components
  • Experience in inspecting and assessing equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear and insufficient lubrication - ability to perform repair and adjustment
  • Ability to install and align motors, gearboxes, and other equipment. Able to perform basic rigging procedures on a wide range of equipment
  • Experience and training in basic welding and metal cutting skills. Able to perform basic metal fabrication
  • Basic working knowledge of electrical controls and drives
  • Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and plant procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent; College or technical training preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years maintenance technician in fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
  • Experienced in all industrial safe practices, including Electrical, Lock Out/Tag Out. Will make safety a first priority in all activities.
  • Working knowledge of all basic industrial mechanical components and systems such as bearings, mechanical drive systems and components, gear boxes, pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and drawings, manuals, and set-up procedures. Basic understanding of electrical drawings.
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC's, DC and AC drives.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first level supervisor.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, and email programs.
  • Ability to work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift experience is required, training will be provided.
  • Must be motivated and willing to learn new tasks
