Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician performs allnecessary repairs and preventative maintenance as directed by the MaintenanceManager, to maintain a safe, attractive and efficiently operated hotel. They areresponsible for performing other duties as assigned.Maintenance associates have access toguestrooms and property, character traits of honesty and trustworthiness areessential to this position. Position Type and Expected Hours ofWorkThis is a full-time benefit eligibleposition. This position must be flexible to work variable days of the week toinclude weekends and holidays based on business needs. Essential Job Functions •Responsible for maintaining thephysical structure and grounds of the hotel property in like-new condition,including landscaping, walkways, pool area and fitness room, as directed byMaintenance Manager.•Assign or handle maintenance requests,improvement projects and develop preventative maintenance programs.•Must be able to use two-way radios,telephones, general office equipment and various types of maintenanceequipment.•Follow compliance with companystandards, safety rules, and health and sanitation regulations.•Have working ability with HVAC,electrical, plumbing and carpentry as needed.•Routinely communicate with theHousekeeping Manager and all other employees on issues of maintaining theproperty in excellent condition.•Communicate with other hotel staff toaccommodate special guest requests.•Comply at all times with brand compliancestandards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.•Completes pertinent maintenancerecords and files related to the facility.•Maintain files of and be familiar withall operations manuals and warranty agreements for equipment.•Ensure that pool and fitness centerare in compliance with area health codes.•Completes and maintains pool chemicallogs (if applicable at property).•Maintain high standards of personalappearance and grooming, which include compliance with Hyatt dress code andwearing a nametag when working.•Maintain a professional and friendlydemeanor at all times.•Must be always attentive, courteousand efficient in the dealings with guests, managers and all other employees.•Establish and maintain good communicationsand teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.Work EnvironmentThis position will work in all areasof the hotel, including access to occupied guest rooms.
