POSITION TITLE: Maintenance TechnicianSTART DATE: Open Until Filled.The College reserves the right to close the recruitment process once a sufficient applicant pool has been identified.CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger College Main Campus/MaintenanceGERNERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to campus buildings andmechanical equipment. Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance needs as needed or required. Pick up trash in and aroundthe buildings. Assist with mowing and trimming grass and shrubs as assigned. Other duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:- High School/GED required- Previous experience as a skilled maintenance mechanic, required- Previous HVAC work experience, highly desirable- Previous electrical work experience, highly desirableSKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Must have a general knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience and mechanical- maintenance- Must have the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods- Maintain professional confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and records- Be able to complete tasks and projects, in a timely manner, with little to no supervision- Excellent communication skills both written and oral and highly developed interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management and a diverse student population- Ability to work in a busy student-oriented setting, while maintaining a sensitivity to issues of ethnicity and- diversityANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials.
