The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Quincy, IL - South Plant site.

Position Details

The Maintenance Technician is an integral part of our Production team based out of our Omaha, NE location. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production line equipment, tow motors, and facilities. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor with working hours of Monday-Friday with flexibility as needed.

Key Responsibilities

* Adhere to safe work practices, safety and environmental procedures.

* Follow quality procedures, work instructions and food safety procedures.

* Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

* Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production line equipment and tow motors as prescribed by the PM schedule.

* Execute special maintenance projects, including welding, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks.

* Assist in training employees on appropriate procedures and tasks.

* Perform housekeeping and general cleaning duties as assigned to enhance plant and employee safety.

* Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

* Will be a member of the on-call team and will respond to the plant when required.

* Ability to work overtime as scheduled

Other Duties

* Undertake special projects and duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* At least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting

Technical Qualifications

* Strong technical knowledge in areas such as electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment maintenance.

* Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and gas operated burners.

* Ability to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment issues efficiently in a plant and office setting.

* Thorough in performing maintenance tasks and following safety and quality protocols.

* Ability to use maintenance management software for logging repairs and maintenance activities.

* Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other types of moving equipment, manlifts and working at heights.

* Ability to understand engineering drawings and schematics.

* Ability to use hand tools, grinders, drill presses and other equipment safely.
