POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at JZ Vacation Rentals. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, problem-solving individual who can perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our vacation rental properties in top condition. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices
• Undertake light installation or carpentry, cabinets, walls, etc.
• Repair equipment or appliances
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks, such as addressing door lock issues
• Identify and report the need for major repairs
• Handle after hours work orders ** is this on any sort of rotation?

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as handyman 2-3 years' experience minimum
• Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment - provide your own tools for the job
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
• Basic math skills
• Good communication ability
• Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills (email, apps, etc)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $25 - $40 1099

Schedule: Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, respond to emergencies as needed, and effectively work in the office or in the field as required.
