MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Kent Corporation : Job Details

Blue Seal/Kent Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT Corporation family of companies has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Maintenance Technician at the Richford, VT plant! The Maintenance Technician will be directly responsible for maintaining and servicing all plant equipment and buildings.This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with a schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor
• Can install circuit breakers, starters, panels, run conduit and make hook-ups with little or no supervision
• Know and be able to repair all mill equipment with little or no supervision
• Can trouble shoot all electrical equipment in plant and repair same, up to and including 480 volts
• Thorough knowledge of all electrical supply circuits
• Have good welding skills and good proficiency with an oxygen acetylene torch
• Do both installation and repair of normal pipe runs
• Able to read and work with blueprints, drawings sketches and schematics
• Have a complete and thorough knowledge of all mill flows, processes, and equipment, all electrical systems, all parts inventories and sources
• Be able to train less experienced electricians
• Fill on call positions as assigned, during non-regular business hours
• Follow all KNG Guidelines and requirements of plant and company policies, all regulatory and certifying agencies
• Attend seminars and correspondence courses whenever possible to improve skill levels
• Be physically able to perform all tasks required, but no limited to climbing, lifting and carrying weights of 55 lbs or more
• Observe safe practices at all times
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow
• Basic computer knowledge
• Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout
• Thorough understanding of cGMP'S.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
• Knowledge of FSMA
