Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a full time Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a variety of preventive and emergency maintenance projects as assigned by the Facilities Manager. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance and physical condition of the building and grounds of all 16 Zepf properties.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsibilities includes picking up all trash on the grounds and parking lots, cleaning any spills or broken glass, weed removal, trimming bushes and tress, washing windows, leaf collection, selected grass mowing, and all other related duties as directed, as needed.
  • The individual may be assigned the following duties: vacuuming, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing floors, and assistant in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
  • All procedures regarding safety, proper use of equipment and all cleaning materials must be followed.
  • Handle the coordination of inspections and certification of equipment.
  • Assist in the documentation and implementation of regularly scheduled fire, tornado and other emergency drills.
  • Responsible for the organization, upkeep, inventory, security and maintaining all facility equipment and tools. The Individual is responsible for ensuring the workshop is kept neat and organized at all times.
  • Perform carpentry work including dry wall; carpet and tile laying
  • Ability to perform minor plumbing and electrical maintenance issues
  • Ability to perform boiler operations upkeep; operation; inspection; cleanliness and maintenance of boilers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient's identity.
  • The ability and willingness to apply appropriate judgment and care in the performance of maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance projects using best practices in terms of safety, quality, and timeliness and cost effectiveness as scheduled.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Associates degree or HVAC trade certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of required OSHA safety trainings and procedures
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
