Texwrap is seeking a talented Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to analyze and correct production machines which require the knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical principles in accordance with production specifications and quality standards. The maintenance technician will also assist in maintaining the plant's systems to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, plumbing, HVAC and other electrical applications.

Does this work interest you?

* Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematic drawings, engineering prints/specifications and/or manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions.

* Provide support for all areas of the facility and equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including office spaces and manufacturing departments.

* Install and maintain the Plant's electrical system to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, and other electrical applications in accordance with engineering specifications, codes, regulations, and safety requirements.

* Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems which include replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, switches, standard devices, valves, and gear.

* Utilize appropriate test instruments, gear and equipment to test and ensure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure correct performance, quality and operation.

* Troubleshoot problems in a methodical manner independently. Contact and/or utilize the assistance of other technicians, contractors, and vendors for complicated/specialized issues.

* Complete repairs in a timely manner to ensure production downtime is minimized and customer due dates are not missed.

* Perform preventative maintenance on-time based on a schedule.

* Maintain proper inventory levels of tooling, hardware, replacement parts, supplies, and solvents.

* Strictly follow all safety requirements for ladder usage, hand and power tool operation, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.

* Oversee some safety and/or environmental inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing corrective actions as needed.

* Document repairs and general record keeping.

* Perform installation, start-up, and repair services for production machinery using lock out/tag out procedures.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED

* Associate's degree in Maintenance, Industrial Arts or a related field preferred but not necessary with proper experience.

* Broad knowledge of recognized trade or craft techniques and applications, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic principles through years of experience.

* Will require the ability to climb in overhead structures, beneath machines and in close quarters while performing analysis and repair work.

* Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits, including single and 3 phase motor controls.

* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

* Familiarity with VFD Motor Controllers and PLCs

* Ability to perform electrical testing and troubleshooting

* Excellent troubleshooting abilities

* Knowledgeable in plumbing install and repair.

* Good mental and visual abilities, with good dexterity and high attention to detail

* Good math skills, which include knowledge of fraction principles

* Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multitasked role

* Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job.

* Good organizational skills

* Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
