The company is focused on making packaging that is increasingly light-weighted, recyclable and reusable, and made using a rising amount of recycled content. They are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic who will maintain all production machinery and mechanical equipment that comprises the total process of producing PET (polyethylene terephthalate. It is extruded or molded into plastic bottles and containers for packaging foods and beverages, personal care products, and many other consumer products.) to ensure efficient operation of the machines and facility.Your main responsibilities include observing all production machinery and mechanical equipment, to include electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure proper and efficient operation. You will also troubleshoot all production machinery and mechanical equipment to locate malfunctions and repair them. Essential responsibilities:- Dismantles machinery and mechanical equipment using appropriate lockout/tagout procedures to remove defective parts- Repairs or replaces the defective parts, using hand tools and power tools- Determines and orders appropriate materials and parts needed for service/repair of equipment and facility- Performs preventative maintenance on all machinery- Performs changeovers on all machinery as required- Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic controls with the aid of a schematic- Uses blueprints, drawings, sketches, layouts, and equipment manuals to identify machine malfunctionsYou will train on day shift but then move to nights, 7pm -7am on a 2-2-3 schedule. $27 - $30/hour before overtime and comprehensive benefits.
