Job Description :
The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a 4th Shift Maintenance Tech for our Seymour, IN facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all converting equipment to minimize downtime, including setup, operation, cleanup and recommendation of improvements.4th Shift Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - Work 36 Hours, Get Paid for 40!At The Royal Group, we are committed to our employees.   • Reports to Maintenance Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes available
  • Demonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Conduct selective inventory monthly of maintenance parts and supplies
  • Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program
  • Order parts and supplies
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance according to their abilities and limitations
  • Attend all plant safety meetings
  • Improve career skills by enrolling in seminars, technical courses and related college courses
  • Practice safe work habits at all times
  • Attend all maintenance planning meetings
  • Follow up on all work orders to ensure repairs and work are performed properly
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
  • Ability to work overtime as the job requires
  • Perform maintenance cleanup daily, weekly and monthly
  • Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred that employees have prior work experience in corrugated industry or other 2-4 years' work experience.
  • May be required to maintain a current Forklift Operator license and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to add, to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use tape measure; and to use a computer
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 lbs: Note any objects over 50 lbs will be recommended to be handled by two members
