Position Overview
Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic system problems on production equipment and executing the most feasible method of repair. Assists with installation of all electrical systems throughout the facility and on production equipment. Performs regular preventative maintenance on all machines, equipment, and systems. Assist in maintaining the facility in an efficient, cost effective, safe, and environmentally compliant manner within designated area. Assist in maintaining the facility.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducts all work in a safe manner, consistent with company polices, OSHA standards and other regulations.
- Assures all electrical work meets required codes and regulations.
- Follow all Safety protocols to include lock out/tag out as necessary to repair equipment and machinery.
- Directs other maintenance personnel
- Equipment installation
- Installation of electrical equipment including cable trays, pulling cable and wires, running conduit installing drivers and motors.
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Trouble shooting breakdowns
- Repairs machines or other equipment. Works on steam, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Replacement and installation of lighting fixtures and lamps as required.
- General building maintenance
- Keeps maintenance area clean and cleans up area after completing maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology or equivalent is preferred but will consider other training and experience in electrical field or an apprenticeship in the electrical field.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Must be familiar with all AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V, equipment as required.
- PLC knowledge – programming and troubleshooting.
- Read and comprehend schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of powered conveyor systems, components, and repair techniques.
- Skilled with welding, fabrication and installing equipment.
- Must have 3 plus years of experience in Manufacturing Maintenance.
- Must be able to pass a mechanical assessment test.
- Must be able to work any shift and overtime
Preferred Candidates will also offer the following:
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
- Skilled trouble shooting steam systems and servicing the boilers and their associated equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
