POSITION OVERVIEW The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. This position requires proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, sheetrock installation/repair, spackling, and general construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Plumbing: Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings. Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and drainage problems.
- Electrical Work: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures. Troubleshoot electrical problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Sheetrock Installation and Repair: Install and repair sheetrock walls and ceilings. Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels as needed. Apply spackling compound and sand surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
- Demolition: Safely demolish and remove existing structures, fixtures, and materials as required for renovation or repair projects. Dispose of debris in accordance with established procedures and regulations.
- General Construction Tasks: Assist with various tasks as needed, such as painting and finishing work. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The Maintenance Technician will primarily work in indoor and outdoor settings, depending on the nature of the project. This role may involve exposure to various weather conditions, loud noises, and potentially hazardous materials. The ability to work safely and adhere to safety protocols is essential. Additionally, the technician may need to travel to different job sites and interact with clients, contractors, and other team members. QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical work, sheetrock installation and repair, spackling, and general construction.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Location: Must be local to Asbury/Neptune/Long Branch
- Hours: Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM & Saturday 9AM-2PM
- Salary Compensation: 50k/yr.
- Must Speak English, Spanish Speaking is a plus
