Maintenance Technician - Impact Business Group : Job Details

Our client, an automotive manufacturer here in the Grand Rapids area, is actively looking for Maintenance Techs!If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.$5k Sign-on bonus!1.5x Pay for Overtime!Day and Night shift openings available3 days off in a row every other week!Rotating 2-2-3 schedule. (2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.).60, hours one week, 24 hours the next. (84hrs for 2 weeks)12 hour days.Position responsibilities/overviewWork safely, following safety work instructions or designated safety procedures (such as Lock Out Tag Out).Lead development of cell(s) during launch to de-bug and assist in correcting all tooling, robotic, controls, weld cycles, and all other equipment-related improvements.Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and carry out remedial actions.Supports all necessary data collection required for cell and product improvement initiatives.Maintain preventative maintenance schedulesInspect all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with the preventative maintenance program; repair and replace parts as required.Perform general equipment maintenance duties as required e.g. cleaning, oiling, and greasing machines according to the preventative maintenance program.Lead efficiency and cycle time improvement.Participate in Continuous Improvement and assist in its implementation on an ongoing basis.Modify existing equipment and install new equipment as required/approved by the Maintenance SupervisorTroubleshoot and diagnose electric/electronic system faults, tune equipment and ensure adequate controls and safety measures are functional.Carry out monthly and yearly electrical maintenance procedures, repairing/or replacing parts as required, in accordance with our client's preventative maintenance program.Contribute to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment by applying the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support).Assists in documenting current processes, equipment settings, and downtime codes.Maintains a clean and safe work environmentMust have:3-5 years of maintenance experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment2+ years of hydraulics and pneumatics experience2+ years of electrical experienceAbility to read a voltage meterWillingness to work with 575 voltage.Ability to read blueprintsHigh school diploma or GEDBenefits$5k sign-on bonusBenefits available 1st of the month following your start-date.401(K) The company will match 100% up to the first 4% deferred.Competitive health care,(PPO, HSA and HDHP plans available)Flex SpendingDental PlanVision PlanLife and Accidental Death (AD&D Insurance)Employee Assistance ProgramPTO/Vacation timeSimilar titles encouraged to apply:Maintenance ElectricianAutomation TechnicianControls TechnicianJourneyman ElectricianMaintenance Mechanic
