We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facilities. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, as well as performing routine preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize spare parts inventory using CMMS/SAP systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks for equipment upkeep.
- Perform general facility maintenance and routine preventive care on equipment such as:
- Blowers, airlocks, valves, sifters, and dust collectors.
- Packaging machines, code printers, and case packers.
- Air compressors, pneumatic systems, and other essential support equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain hazard-free work areas, and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a self-directed and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively across departments to support production goals.
Working hours: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM *must be able to work a schedule of rotating days that include weekends
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must demonstrate good communication skills and be able to understand and interpret equipment training manuals and drawings.
- Must demonstrate good math skills.
- Must demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Must possess a solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or the equivalent in manufacturing experience (preferably in food manufacturing).
- Demonstrate creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of electrical distribution and control circuits.
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of PLC theory and programming.
- Advanced working knowledge of the following support equipment:
- Air compressors and pneumatic systems
- Pneumatic conveying theory and related systems
- Drying instrumentation
- Understand be proficient in the operation of the following shop equipment:
- Drill press
- Hydraulic press
- Milling machine
- Lathe
- Grinders, band saws and other related hand tools.
- Advanced maintenance welding including:
- AC/DC stick, Tig, Mig, Gas Acetylene
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted; periodically lift up to 100 lbs.
