Job Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and or Maintenance Manager will follow all established procedures and policies while producing a product that meets or exceeds available standards while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

This is for a 3rd shift position, i.e. night shift. Sunday-Tuesday, Friday-Saturday 10PM-6AM. Days off Wednesday and Thursday ( Days off and hours of work are subject to change according to production needs)

Job Responsibilities

* Conduct general repairs & maintenance to facility and grounds as assigned

* Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision

* Respond and perform assigned duties in a timely manner per work order program

* Perform assigned duties following GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES .

* Attend Daily Production Meeting if required.

* Maintain records and logs as required.

* Support change over and start up of assigned area.

* Support SQF through the monitoring of incoming services.

* Maintain the Calibration Program.

* Support SQF by maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Program.

* Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.

Job Qualifications:

* GED or High School Education

* At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment

* Basic computer skills (ie. Word, Exel, etc.)

* Excellent troubleshooting experience

* Strong Communication skills

* Multi-task Individual

* Ability to work independently or with little supervision

Physical Demands

* Standing: Long periods (up to 8 hours)

* Sitting: occasionally for short periods

* Walking: Long periods

* Bending & Twisting: Frequently

* Lifting: Heavy (50+lbs))

* Carrying: Heavy (40-60lbs)

* Pushing:/Pulling: under 75 lbs. without assistance frequently

SQF Requirements / Responsibilities

* Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner

* Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
