Maintenance TechnicianLocation: NACOGDOCHES, TX, United StatesJob Family: ManufacturingJob Type: RegularPosted: Nov 15, 2024Job ID: 52874Job DescriptionPrimarily responsible for repairing, maintaining, and performing routine maintenance on production equipment, plant utilities, plant service equipment, buildings, grounds, etc. There is a large amount of electrical work and welding required.Electrical: Perform electrical troubleshooting, read electrical diagrams and symbols. Able to read and write advanced electrical schematics. Must be able to read P&ID drawings, use handheld voltage meters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.Welding: Lays out, positions, aligns and fits together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding. Tack-welds pieces together. Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.Mechanical: Responsible for installing special functional and structural parts in devices. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentation. Maintains and repairs air compressors, air dryers, gas systems, alarm systems, water, and vacuum systems, etc. Follows Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensures that the records for such are properly documented.PLC: Read and interpret Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Troubleshoot problems in PLC hardware and software.Fabrication: Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Conduct periodic inspections to determine required maintenance workflow. Design/Build complex parts as needed for the plant using all millwright tools (lathe, index mill, welding, press, bender, etc.).Heating/Cooling: Advanced air conditioning and heating circuits, troubleshooting, and repair chillers and air dryers.Projects: Must be well-rounded maintenance person and must have knowledge and experience in areas of troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical motion control components.Actively participate and support the plant's safety program. Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager, or EHS Manager.Actively participate in the High-Performance Team designated for your area. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to offer suggestions for improvement.Record accurate and timely data, including order completions and quantity on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets for reject parts, and daily hours worked.Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisles free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed.Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:A High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An associate degree (two-year college or technical school) is preferred.Must have electrical and welding experience or education.Must have experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.Must have a basic background in PLCs. Possess an understanding of predictive SAP or other ERP System Experience.
