Maintenance Technician - Hermosa, IL

We're supporting our client, a leading global plastic manufacturer based in Hermosa, Illinois who are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The successful Maintenance Technician will have experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance of injection molding machinery.

Salary: $35/hr - $40/hr

Job Start date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

• Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance of injection molding machinery
• Maintenance of hydraulics
• Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
• Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out
• Ensuring the organization complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place

About You:

• Ability to understand a variety of engineering procedures and functions
• Team-working skills to liaise and work cooperatively with individuals at all levels
• Ability to confidently work alone on occasions
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Electrical, three phase and single phase understanding essential
• General mechanical experience essential
• Injection molding experience desired but not essential
