Maintenance Technician - Pulp and Paper Company : Job Details

Maintenance Technician FULL-TIME $29.23/hrStarting wage ranges from $29.23-$34.43 per hour depending on skill level.• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment. • Preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, minimize equipment down time and perform small project activities. • Read blueprints, schematics, and drawings. • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment; responsible for proper waste disposal. • Receptive to training and performing other duties as required.Electrical experience preferred for the following tasks: • Install wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipement such as conveyors, programmable controllers, and corrugating machinery. • Replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices. • Diagnose and repair/replace faulty electronic componets • Troubleshoot drives, i.e. AC and DC • Read electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logic IND-04 WS-04 WS-TCScheduleShift start: 6:00PM Shift length: 12 hours 6pm-6am, Nights with a rotating schedule 2:2:3:2; Training will be on Day shift (6am-6pm)Benefits

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen (cannabis excluded)
• Must pass background check
• Can lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Strong mechanical skills and aptitude Strong troubleshooting skills Skilled in pneumatics, electrical, PLC, and hydraulics Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices Well-rounded electrical, mechanical and machine shop skills and experience Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work overtime as needed High school diploma or equivalent Five years of maintenance experience with at least one year with the same employer Highly qualified candidates would possess a technical degree or apprenticeship certification and maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or similar manufacturing environment.
