POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure our vacation homes are safe, well-maintained, and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and special projects to support Staylah's expanding Florida portfolio. We're looking for a skilled, proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative, values-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handyman & General Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
- Project and Vendor Management: Plan and execute projects such as renovations and seasonal maintenance tasks, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Property Inspections: Proactively inspect properties to identify and address maintenance needs. Perform minor cleaning touch-ups if needed (e.g., wiping surfaces, straightening linens, restocking essentials). Document inspections with photos and reports using mobile apps.
- Hot Tub Cleaning & Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain hot tubs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper chemical balance.
- Guest & Owner Service: Respond to maintenance requests promptly, communicating clearly and professionally.
- Inventory & Supplies Management: Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools for efficient property management. Run errands to support property operations (restocking supplies, picking up deliveries, etc.).
- Technology and Communication: Communicate effectively with team members through technology-driven tools. Provide on-the-ground feedback to improve guest experiences.
- Safety: Verify safety compliance (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, security systems).
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in property maintenance, ideally in vacation rentals or hospitality.
- Proficient in cleaning and maintenance, handyman tasks, and project management.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work on call hours and varied schedules in busy seasons.
- Pass background checks.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience
