Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will work on Witron fully automated Material Handling Equipment, including conveyors, sorting machines, cranes, transfer machines, palletizers, and shrink wrappers. This role requires the use of Microsoft Office to update PMs and work orders and to document activity conducted on equipment. The ideal candidate must have full electrical system experience along with mechanical maintenance and repair skills, PLC troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. The ability to read schematics to identify equipment faults is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair on Witron fully automated Material Handling Equipment, including conveyors, sorting machines, cranes, transfer machines, palletizers, and shrink wrappers.

  • Update PMs and work orders using Microsoft Office.

  • Document all activities conducted on equipment.

  • Conduct PLC troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Read schematics to identify equipment faults.

  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical maintenance and repair on automated equipment.

  • Mechanical maintenance and repair on automated equipment.

  • PLC troubleshooting.

  • Schematic reading.

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Preventive maintenance.

  • HVAC maintenance and repair.

  • Fabrication and forklift operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with parts ordering is a plus.

  • Fabrication and welding skills are a plus.

  • Experience with the operation and setup of equipment.

  • Use of manual mill and lathe is a plus.

  • A good work attitude during training is non-negotiable.

Work Environment

The Maintenance Technician will work within a team of 37 members in a cold storage environment with temperatures ranging from 55 to -5 degrees across different parts of the facility. The role involves working around industrial machinery and requires the use of steel toe boots, coats, and gloves.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, Texas

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.50/hr.
