Job SummaryResponsible for the troubleshooting, repair, installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, machinery and components. Equipment ranges from motors and hand-tools to complex multi-part units like dust collectors, wastewater handling setups, as well as CNC-controlled equipment.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Diagnose and repairs electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and electronic equipment and machinery, both off-line and in machine-down situations. Installs equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturing specifications. May also perform approved modifications to machinery in order to accommodate established manufacturing needs. Calibrates and maintains various controls (programmable logic controls, pressure transducers, etc.) and processes (gas fired furnace, controlled atmosphere furnace, vacuum casting machine, etc.). Operates a wide variety of instruments (digital and analog oscilloscopes, data loggers, PLC's w thermocouples, power monitoring and analysis, sensors etc.). Performs installation & troubleshooting as the subject matter expert on assigned advanced purchased equipment (CNC ring fab, furnaces, injectors etc.). Operates and programs all functions of the equipment, as well as exercise all actuators, motors and sensor-circuits. With supervisor, creates procedures for assigned equipment. Has responsibility for execution & verification of large overhauls of assigned equipment. Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding changes and improvements on basis of own findings in the course of assignments. Ability to interpret (and edit as necessary) service documents, blueprints, electrical diagrams, schematics and debugging instructions. Identifies and requisitions parts as needed for completion of tasks. Coordinates equipment repairs and maintenance with Managers and Production personnel and ensures proper documentation in work order system. Communicates effectively with manufacturers and co-workers to assist in the timely repair of machinery. Assists in maintaining the parts inventory area and preventative maintenance assignments as needed. Performs checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations and other wastewater duties as directed by manager. Exhibits flexibility by adjusting to changing priorities. Maintains tools, equipment and vehicle in good working order.WHAT YOU WILL NEED High School Diploma or equivalent. Three years' experience in maintenance or related field. Demonstrated PC skills including experience in MS Office (fluent in internet research, use of on-line documentation systems, basic understanding in Cisco/Windows networking topology & terms). Ability to pass a background check as well as an alcohol, controlled substance, and illegal drug screen that meets Company standards before beginning regular employment.Preferred Qualifications Graduation from a Technical School or similar demonstrated experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics or hydraulics.
