Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician Level I to join our team supporting our Suffolk County sites. Under general supervision uses limited experience and judgement to perform a variety of building, custodial and maintenance duties; operate hand and power tools, across all Sun River Health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician Level I:
  • Performs maintenance tasks related to basic lighting, plumbing and structure of the sites.
  • Moves furniture or equipment and supplies around health center as directed.
  • Maintains the outside areas of HRHC sites as needed including sidewalks and parking lots such as snow removal, etc.
  • Coverage of after-hours emergencies
  • Perform basic rough carpentry and plumbing functions.
  • Operate gas-powered equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical layouts (HVAC, plumbing) within HRHC sites.
  • Knowledge of building and NYS code compliance.
